Transforming data insights: An overview of Diamondback's Spotfire journey and solution showcase

This session covers the growth of Spotfire at Diamondback, focused on enabling all departments, leveraging data virtualization, and improving user engagement through training. Diamondback has a diverse user base and utilizes Spotfire for enterprise, team, and operational applications across many domains, including LOS, volumetrics, facility planning, and operational surveillance. The company's immediate future plans include a Spotfire 14 upgrade, assessment of Spotfire Copilot and Snowflake integration, and adding new Python libraries. The presentation highlights two solutions: artificial life survivability and surface land planning.

In this session, we will discuss how Oxy enables faster operational decision-making by handling millions of rows, offloading calculations, and intuitive interface design. The Outlook Tool forecasts production by integrating allocated production, planned jobs, and rig schedules. The Competitor Surveillance Tool combines internal and external data for reservoir, spatial, and competitor analysis. Oxy utilizes modern data pipelines, distributed computing, and Spotfire extensibility technologies—including JavaScript, IronPython, Python, and SQL to deliver these two impactful solutions.
