Box plots can now reveal every underlying data point directly in the visualization, giving analysts, engineers, and scientists a more complete view of distributions, outliers, and multimodal patterns. This added transparency supports a wide range of workflows, from quality engineering workflows and regulatory analysis to scientific research, where understanding the details behind a summary statistic matters.
This latest innovation release enables a natural, domain-aligned way to visualize depth, elevation, or sequence-based data by introducing vertical orientation for line and combination charts. For industries like energy, geology, manufacturing, and life sciences, this reduces cognitive effort and aligns analysis with established domain standards.
Authoring has also taken another step forward. Enhancements to the new visualization properties panel improve configuration workflows, unify the authoring experience across the web and installed clients, and make it easier to build and refine compelling dashboards. New diagnostics strengthen trust and reliability by surfacing issues with geometry transformations, coordinate systems, and time-series smoothing before they affect results. Multiple data views in Visualization Mods open the door to more advanced composite visuals, allowing developers to combine independent data sources within a single mod without manual preprocessing.

Simplified governance for enterprise-scale analytics with Spotfire® Enterprise
Spotfire 14.7 introduces new capabilities that reduce operational overhead and improve consistency across environments. Administrators can now centrally re-sign mods to maintain trusted signatures throughout development, testing, and production, eliminating manual certificate handling and ensuring consistent governance.
A new web-based workflow for managing JDBC drivers enables deployment and updates directly from the web administration UI, reducing the need for server access and simplifying day-to-day administration.
